And how do you know for certain what lies ahead (shortage of cash & liquidity) based on current performance. Management accounts are financial reports produced for you, generally monthly or quarterly, that normally consist of a Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and supporting metrics that are presented in a format personalised for you.

They are there to provide that answer to direction and what lies ahead. No matter how small you are you will still benefit from at least a basic, quarterly summary of some description to answer the what, why and how in your business. What is happening? Why it is happening? How do you improve?
